Palmetto Bay Parents of Little Dancers: A Gentle, Serious First Step Into Ballet

For a Palmetto Bay parent with a three or four year old who twirls through the living room, the decision is often about the first class: it should be joyful, but it should also be real.

  • Studio is north of Palmetto Bay
  • Early Ballet for ages 3 to 4
  • Respectful, patient teachers

Where we are, generally

Palmetto Bay is south of the studio, further down the US-1/South Dixie Highway corridor past Pinecrest. Coral Gables lies generally north. We do not recommend specific routes or times.

What a Palmetto Bay family may be weighing

The decision, and how we approach it

Early Ballet is where joy and structure meet. Children learn to listen to music, wait their turn, find their spot, and begin classical positions, all at an age-appropriate pace.

Not every class will feel easy, and that is normal. Our faculty gives respectful feedback with each child's best interests in mind and welcomes conversations with parents about how their little one is adjusting.

Common questions for Palmetto Bay families

Frequently asked

Is three too young for ballet?
Our Early Ballet program is designed for ages 3 to 4. It focuses on music, movement, coordination, and the first classical foundations at a pace that suits young children.
What if my little one is shy at first?
That is common. Teachers are experienced with young children who need time to warm up. After the trial, we are happy to talk with you about how your child responded.
What happens if my child is not loving every class?
Ballet is a growth process and not every class will feel easy. Consistency can build resilience, but parents ultimately decide what is right. Our faculty welcomes honest conversations with families.

The first step is a trial class

Bring your Palmetto Bay dancer for a trial class.

Tell us about your dancer. We will contact you with the most appropriate available option, and after the trial our faculty recommends placement. Submitting a request does not reserve a class.
