Key Biscayne Families: Making the Trip to the Mainland Worth It
For Key Biscayne families, any mainland activity is a decision. Coming across the Rickenbacker Causeway for a weekly class only makes sense if the class is genuinely good and genuinely the right fit. We take that seriously, which is why we start with a trial and a placement conversation.

Where we are, generally
Key Biscayne is east of the studio, across Biscayne Bay. Families reach the mainland by the Rickenbacker Causeway and then head generally west toward Coral Gables. We do not estimate travel times.

What a Key Biscayne family may be weighing
The decision, and how we approach it
For a family that would rather do one class a week well than several half-heartedly, faculty placement makes that one class count, because the dancer is in the level that challenges them appropriately.
Daytime options may also be worth considering. Our Morning & Homeschool program and private lessons can work alongside a group class, depending on the dancer's goals. Check the schedule for current options.

Frequently asked
- Is one class a week enough to make progress?
- It can be a meaningful start. Progress depends on consistency, level, and goals. After the trial, faculty will recommend a weekly commitment that fits your dancer and your family.
- Are there daytime classes for homeschool students?
- Yes. Our Morning & Homeschool program offers daytime classical instruction. The program page and class schedule list current options.
- Can we combine private lessons with a group class?
- Yes. Private lessons are available for focused goals and can complement a group class. The team will help you decide whether that makes sense after placement.
The first step is a trial class
Bring your Key Biscayne dancer for a trial class.
Tell us about your dancer. We will contact you with the most appropriate available option, and after the trial our faculty recommends placement. Submitting a request does not reserve a class.
