A Classical Ballet Home for Coconut Grove Families, Just West in Coral Gables

A parent in the Grove may be weighing a familiar choice: a child with plenty of energy and imagination, and the question of whether classical ballet will channel that energy or feel too rigid. The goal is structure without stiffness, in a room where a curious child learns real technique and is known by name.

What a Coconut Grove family may be weighing

The decision, and how we approach it

For an energetic child, classical ballet gives movement a shape: posture, musical timing, and the patience to repeat something until it is clean.

Families drawn to expressive dance may also want to know that our lyrical and contemporary classes are built on ballet. They are offered by placement, so a dancer who loves to improvise gets the technique that makes that freedom look intentional.

Common questions for Coconut Grove families

Frequently asked

My child loves to dance freely. Is classical ballet too strict for them?
Ballet asks for focus, but our teachers know how to bring a lively child along without flattening their spirit. Many expressive dancers later join lyrical and contemporary, which require a ballet foundation and are offered by placement.
Can a Coconut Grove family try a class before committing?
Yes. Every new student starts with a trial class. Afterward our faculty shares a placement recommendation and the studio team reviews current availability with you.
Which direction is the studio from the Grove?
The studio is west of Coconut Grove, in Coral Gables at 300 Altara Ave Ste 1415, Coral Gables, FL 33146. We do not give route or timing advice, so please use your preferred map app.
